Impossible... not to love

Impossible!
What is impossible? Is it impossible to fly? No.
Is it impossible to walk on the ceiling? No.
Does there exist anything that is impossible? Yes.
It is impossible…not to love.

It is an original way of "seeing" that awaits the spectator in this play. It enables him to interpret the scenes between dance and music based on his or her own experience. The line between spectators and actors becomes blurred. The spectator becomes part of the play, which is about – among other things – love, death and sex. It concerns taboo subjects that occupy people of all ages; thus also the ensemble consisting of 5 generations, the youngest actress of which is 10 years and the eldest actor 80 years of age.

For three months director and choreographer Dyane Neiman developed the play in a very special way together with the ensemble. The participants themselves were the authors and delivered material from their own experience. They freely speak about body hairs, their teachers, epitaphs, fairy tales and about the compensation between offender and victim. Misunderstandings are to be cleared and the rules for an adequate conversation are broken. They are the very own stories of the actresses and actors put into words, music and movement.

For Dyane Neiman, repeated prizewinner of the "Theaterzwang-Award", the production is something new in itself. "The play is different from conventional theatre plays. There are no tricks and no costly stage set. The eyes of the spectator are opened to the beauty of an empty room, a tree in the sunset and a lonely figure under a disco ball."
